Between a Rock and a Hard Place

With my natural tendency of reading multilpe books simulaniously I've yet to finish Aron Ralstons account of his life's acheivements surrounding his harrowing "I'll chop my arm off to save my life" story. Page after page he describes every accent and every narrow escape on solo hikes in random places. All the while I'm sitting around in the 100+ degree heat trapped like a prisoner in the oppressive air, not able to stretch out the legs anytime past 6am. The sheer risk of feeling my internal organs boiling from the inside as I stretch out mile after mile only to finish my run and collapsing in my bathtub.
This guy though, cut his own arm off. His own arm. After breaking it. Twice. Reading his account page by page and feeling yourself being in that very situation with him it's very difficult to think of what you would really do. Just incredible and now with only one arm he is making $37,000 a motivational speech. He was scraping by with two arms and now he is wealthy and doing everything he ever dreamed of doing outdoors with major sponsors and expeditions to Everest and Antartica. Talk about the Lord works in Mysterious ways..
